Back in the studio.

A peek at what is on the studio table waiting to be fired.

I've taken quite a break from the studio, as there is a new addition to our family. My newborn son is now joining my daughter and I in the studio as I'm back creating some new pieces. At only two months old I think he's most interested in staring at all the colorful decorations around the room while my daughter is now joining me at her table creating her own beads and beautiful three year old paintings.

It was difficult during my pregnancy to sit at my studio table and computer for any periods of time so my break was more focused on gathering inspiration rather than creating. So I've been gathering images over the past year from my daily walks, hikes through the woods, and my garden. Some of the textures and colors are making their way into my new beads and jewelry designs. I hope over the next few months as the cold weather sets in to have more time at the table as I have a whole lot of ideas spinning around in my head.

On another note, I've just dropped off my application for the LARAC 2012 Holiday Shop in downtown Glens Falls, NY. I should find out in the next few weeks if my jewelry designs are accepted.
